Why The Suprise?
Rush Limbaugh made a comment this week about something that has been bothering me for a few months now.
Every financial quarter, economists are always surprised at any good news.
If you are an expert in financial matters, why are you surprised at success? What type of economist always bets on failure?
This is why TRN calls many of them ecommunists.

You are right. There may be an explanation; in that an economist may want to give a more conservative prediction (bad news) and be proven wrong by good news. This is similar to all the stories about people who live 20 years after a doctor tells them they have only 3 months. Just a thought.
