Because his shooter was bloodied and a witness corroborated his account, the police let him go. They said it was self defense.
Now, political miscreants have taken to the airwaves and organized “protests” around the fantasy that this young man was killed by a racist… and the police were racist… and the media will be racist when they report Trayvon was a fledgling drug dealer… and mentioning that he was suspended from school for weed… that’s racist too.
None of it means that Trayvon deserved to die. None of it means that George Zimmerman had to let the kid beat him up either.
The Black Panthers took a bounty out on Zimmerman’s head.
Many death threats have been sent to Zimmerman’s family.
The endgame of this charade will be a joke.
A lot of the recent information has not lent itself to a corroboration of the Zimmerman story. However given that this information has been filtered through a media that has routinely skewered the facts (digitally manipulated photo’s, a video that looked edited, a failure to report Trayvon’s posing as a thug online, outing a 13 year old they believed to be a witness for Zimmerman, calling Zimmerman a “white” and so on) I don’t feel comfortable abandoning belief that he might be a victim in all this. But yeah . . . on the surface it is not looking very good for him.
