Barack Obama made yet another 180 today, this one on drilling. He floated the idea of selling oil to foreign nations from our strategic reserves. Two months ago he was making fun of McCain’s gas tax holiday.
Obama fantasizes about “breaking our addiction to oil.” This is a stupid phrase and President Bush never should have uttered it. That fact hat Barack had to copy Bush is hilarious however. We are not addicted to oil, oil is simply the only resource that woks as well as it does. Nothing, not one resource, is as efficient as oil.
Barack went on about Hybrid cars, let’s see him lead by example. His motorcade could be replaced by Priuses and Smart cars. See how well those pieces of trash move with armor siding and bullet resistant windows installed on them.
He continues to spew this notion of how the U.S. “is only 3% of the world’s population using 26% of the world’s energy.”
It’s not the “world’s” energy. Its our energy. We make it, we generate it or we pay for it. It belongs to us.
We also do 90% of the just fighting, 90% of charity & relief, 90% of the inventing and 90% of the space exploration that benefits the whole world.
There is no magic alternative energy around the corner, wind and solar energy are weak and the very fact that Barack Obama has to concede this issue, as well as the surge, should be a wake up call to the United States.
