Stupid Moral Relativism
- Europe’s rejection this spring of President Bush’s proposal to start Ukraine and Georgia towards Nato membership was the real provocation to Russia, because it exposed Western weakness and timidity. As long as that perception exists in Moscow, the risk to other former Soviet territories – and in precarious regions such as the Middle East – will remain.
The Russian invasion of Georgia was in the works for some time now. That should be obvious to the most casual observer.
Yet many cannot grasp that Russia invading Georgia over a dispute in South Ossetia, is not the same as the U.S. invading Iraq. Rush Limbaugh called this tactic before the droolers could force it past their teeth.
This is seen by leftists as a good excuse to attack President Bush and to excuse the favorite empire of lefty’s, the Soviet Union.
Within the first few days, the Huffington Post had a picture of John McCain flanked by maps of Iraq and Georgia. Then they post a crazy picture of Mikheil Saakashvili, trying their best to make him look like an unhinged madman.
- Is this really the only picture the Huff Post was capable of?
The murder of moral clarity will continue as NATO becomes U.N.-lite.
The United Nations, NATO and America, looked the other way, drooling at faux fireworks and cheating commie gymnasts, while Russia stomped Georgia into the dirt. American troops need to be placed in the path of the marauding commie bear and all of these phony ceasefires need to be thrown in the trash.
If Emperor Putin is so tough, let’s see him fire on American troops. He has already threatened Poland with nuclear attacks, how far do we let him go?
President Bush himself tried to integrate Georgia into NATO, but was rejected because Europe prefers invasion and capitulation. Europe is not worth saving a second time. There will never be another Normandy for you appeasers, you aren’t worth it.
