Se Vita Privare no more. How about that reader’s prediction?

 Good. This is what we want to see.

Se Vita Privare GOP

It means suicide by taking poison.

How do you poison the GOP elephant? With liberalism. American left-wing Liberalism is the kryptonite of the American Dream.

The GOP has slowly been taking doses of liberalism to “appeal to the middle.” They were the rational republicans, the bi-partisan get-a-long gang that ushered Democrats right back into Congress in 2006.

Spineless failures of manhood that would not defend the honor of our soldiers by sending Murtha’s career down in flames. They let Dick Durbin savage our troops image as well. They voted for loser social spending on medicaid and refused to fight for President Bush as he tackled a real conservative issue, the bankruptcy of social security and its failure as it was doomed from the New Deal till now.

These Rhinos who stole the elephants clothing could not bring themselves to seal our border. Nor did enough of them challenge the President’s immigration amenesty bill. It was barely defeated.

Big government mindsets led to stupid amendment proposals about gay marriage instead of challenging the argument that people are born gay. Science can’t even prove we are born straight. You do not need to accept liberal premises, they don’t seem to flinch at rejecting ours.

That is the larger point I suppose, fighting for moral clarity is difficult. You will be criticized, ridiculed, called a monster, racist, homophobic, classicist, fascist and when they want to scandalize you, you will be rumored to be gay.

Look at how eagerly these liberals run stories about Matt Drudge being gay. This will never discredit Drudge if it were true, but in the cartoon reality that is the liberal mind, they think all right wingers will meet below the statue of an owl, have an orgy and then burn Drudge in effigy. A text message will then be sent to Fox News and Shepard Smith will break the story. It is hard to believe republicans are bullied by such effeminate caricatures, but then most of them are “moderates.”

What is a moderate? Imagine going to a restaraunt and ordering a “moderate” meal. Would you like your brakes to moderately work on your car? How about moderate military action? We wouldn’t have terrorists killed, we would just push them around a little until they tear up and say “Hey, stop.”

A moderate waits for the consensus, then decides. That’s why you hear about politicians flip-flopping. They are moderating their positions.

Here is a fine leader, Margaret Thatcher, who explains moderates quite well;

“There are still people in my party who believe in consensus politics. I regard them as Quislings, as traitors… I mean it…”

This talk about “branding” is meaningless nonsense. Conservatism is a philosophy, not a product. The idea that we need conservative big government is oxy-moronic. “Conservative Big Government, brought to you by Christians Against Christ…” Knock it off.

This is the other load, the “Religious Right.” Everybody is scared of the religious right. Why? They have not affected one policy ever. Abortion? Gay Marriage? Prayer in public schools? These are the battlefields where liberals have planted their donkey flags. There are plenty of abortions, gays get married more than ever, even if Democrats are afraid to lead on this issue they claim is so important. Prayers being led in public school have not happened in forty years, yet liberals act like at any second, Evangelists will descend from the sky and begin an inquisition on grade school children. The fact that liberal teachers have sex with the students is not a concern. How many books are there on bookstore shelves talking about “Theocracy” vs those written about Teachers practicing the Big Bang theory? I rest my case.

The Republican leadership has failed. They want to out-liberal the liberals. With the exception of shining examples like Sarah Palin, the GOP stands for Giant Oligarch Phonies. The elephants tusks have been poached off it’s face. The shadow of the Rhino looms over us. Will we real Americans reach down and grab a pair and engage these republicants in an intra-party street-fight? Do we have what it takes to restore optimism to the American people? Its time to put the tusks back on the elephant and start leading.

    May 28th, 2008 - 11:44 pm Here’s an important piece of advice: If it looks like it’s going to be McCain/Palin anyway (and that should be a “no brainer” for Team McCain), McCain should announce NOW or VERY SOON, rather than later towards the convention. There’s currently a growing chorus for Obama/Hillary (as VP) ticket (in fact the Dems are likely aware of the Palin phenomenon). If the GOP waits while movement for Hillary as VP grows - even worse until after it is solidified that Hillary will/could be VP pick - selecting Palin will be portrayed by Dems/liberal media more as a reaction by GOP selecting its own female (overshadowing Palin’s own remarkable assets), rather than McCain taking the lead on this. Selecting Palin now or early (contrary to the punditocracy) will mean McCain will be seen as driving the course of this campaign overwhelmingly, and the DEMS will be seen as merely reacting. And, there’s absolutely no down-side to this because even if Hillary is a no-go as VP for Obama, the GOP gains by acting early. McCain the maverick. Palin the maverick. Do it now! There’s no reason, and actually substantial negative, in McCain waiting to see what the Dems do first insofar as his picking Palin as VP, because, no matter who Obama picks, Palin is by far (and I mean far) the best pick for McCain and the GOP, especially in this time of GOP woes. The GOP can be seen as the party of real ‘change’ (albeit I hate that mantra, change, change, bla bla), while not really having to change from GOP core conservative values, which Palin more than represents. In light of the current oil/energy situation, as well as the disaffected female Hillary voters situation, and growing focus on McCain’s age and health, Palin is more than perfect - now.

    (Perhaps Team McCain is already on to this.)
