The Liberal Media PT 1 of Many

“Olberman and Matthews demoted for doing their job”

Leilani Albano wrote the above bit about how unfairly they were treated by being fired form their anchor spots on MSNBC.

  • “NBC should be looking to Olberman as the future of reporting.”  - Leilani Albano

Next was this pearl of wisdom;

  • Rather than acting as mere observers of the presidential elections, mainstream media has taken on the more powerful role in shaping and influencing its outcome.

After laughing at that, I was nearly paralyzed by her closing;

  • By allowing Olberman to reveal his biases on the issues, the network will not only bring back life to the news, but also provide viewers more truthful and transparent coverage.

She used up some space attacking Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and other news analysis show hosts, without grasping the simple fact that those guys never sit in the anchor’s chair for hard news broadcasts.

TRN appreciates her admitting MSNBC has a liberal bias.

For more about Leilani Albano, here is a wonderful piece where she insults Michelle Malkin.

Dude, seriously, how can you mock Olberman with a straight face, while wholesale pandering is going on at Fox? At least I admit that Olberman and Matthews are both biased. Why can’t you admit that what Papa Bear, Hannity and the rest are doing is also biased?

Come on Rude you are better than that…aren’t you?

“…those guys never sit in the anchor’s chair for hard news broadcasts.”

See, Fox never puts Hannity in the anchors seat. Sean has his own commentary show.

So does Glenn Beck on Headline News. They NEVER anchor. Keith and Chris, were supposed to anchor. They couldn’t handle it. MSNBC fired them from the spots, go take it up with them.

Plus, Olbermann refuses to admit what a liberal he is.

Placing opinion guys in the anchor chair was stupid. MSNBC was wrong to do it. Of course, Fox runs a virtually constant rotation of talking heads like all the channels do, so they are all guilty of viewpoint bias.

In unrelated news, McCain helped invent the BlackBerry. LOL.

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.” – Al Gore

Comparing an aides inference that McCain cleared the way, is far from Al Gore’s idiotic and self-serving dribble.

This is how desparate the left is to make bad news about McCain.

  5. catscratch

Yes, McCain cleared the way for a Canadian company to develop the BlackBerry. McCain for Prime Minister! :)

And yeah, Gore is a serial exaggerator. But at least Gore did have a SMALL hand in the goings-on that led to the development of the Internet. And no, private enterprise didn’t build the Internet in spite of the evil government. The project’s inception and execution was always guided by the federal government.

You really should research Gore’s role in the policies that led to the interconnection of the various networks that eventually gave us the Internet. It’s not like the telecoms just plopped it down and started charging us $19.99 for access.

A good place to start is to google Vint Cerf and read what he had to say about Gore’s role in the early Internet (originally ARPAnet).

And yes, this is all a far cry from sitting on the Commerce committee in the Senate and staging anti-earmark soundbites like McCain has done. It took some heavy lifting to get the Internet off the ground, and Gore to his wooden credit was probably the single biggest advocate of the Internet in governemt. It was no mistake that even Newt Gingrich said:

“In all fairness, it’s something Gore had worked on a long time. Gore is not the Father of the Internet, but in all fairness, Gore is the person who, in the Congress, most systematically worked to make sure that we got to an Internet…”

It was created by the DoD and The Air Force had a hand in it as well. End of story.

It was not guided by Congress, and it was way brfore Al Gore. Saying the Federal Government guided it is like saying Al Gore took the initiative in creating the Internet.

He did not exaggerate. He lied.

“And no, private enterprise didn’t build the Internet in spite of the evil government.”

You are dead wrong. The Democratic Mansfield Amendment strangled funding. This drove more computer scientists into the private sector while slowing DARPA’s R&D.

  8. Democrats are Fascists

    The liberals are elitist babies.
They have to have everything their own way.
That means they can’t tolerate a different opinion.

In other words, they’re Nazis. Fascists.
    And Obama’s their Hitler.

Look what he’s doing to radio and TV stations. Look what he did with Palin’s e-mail.

He’s a Nazi, which makes sense, considering his “spiritual advisor” is a rabid anti-Semite.
