This financial debacle has been in the making for many years. From social engineering, govenrment invading the private sector to the party of regulators rejecting regulations, the blame for this mess will be tossed back and forth like time delay grenade with five seconds on it.
It’s time to switch it with an impact grenade and let the sparks fly. Both parties are to blame here and the class warfare angle of “Wall Street did it” is akin to washing one sleeve of a dirty shirt.
President Bush carries his part in the compassionate conservative message of the ownership society. It was thinly disguised political correctness.
The Paulson bailout has little support, but some type of bailout will happen. Regardless, once this issue is passed, we must remember that this mess is not from deregulation, it is from the government types invading and competeing with the private sector.
