Just because she wasn’t successful doesn’t mean she didn’t want to.
yes, she did ask the librarian if some books could be withdrawn because of being offensive; no, they couldn’t; yes, it was “rhetorical”, at least as was reported contemporaneously in 1996[1] ; yes she did threaten to fire the librarian a month later; no, that wasn’t over the books thing but instead over administrative issues; no, the librarian wasn’t fired either; yes, the librarian was a big supporter of one of her political opponents; yes, the librarian was also the girlfriend of the Chief of Police mentioned above; no, this is not the first time in the history of civilization that someone has been threatened with being fired over a political dispute
The above sounds a little too suspicious, and if this were Obama doing it…nevermind I’ll let you finish that thought.
Honestly, I don’t care to debate about Palin. She’s proven she’s not qualified (I think she’s a moron, but that’s just my personal opinion). And even George Will and Charles Krauthammer among others seem to agree.
But about this post…book banning seems to be a FAR right-and FAR left wing leaning phenomena. Either way it’s UN-AMERICAN. Period. End of story…and your girl actually made the attempt. (Should I start waving the flag now or after you comment next?)

Dude, she admitted ASKING the librarian about banning a book…then suddenly the librarian is threatened with being fired? That doesn’t send off alarm bells? Of course she didn’t get to go through with it. But even asking about it is NOT AMERICAN. Don’t give me that PDS crap. I’ll tell you the same as Cobb, this is beneath even you.
