The Housing Crisis Lie
The liberals are rejoicing at Presidnt George Bush’ cave-in to socialism. This has not stopped then from overplaying their hand on the crisis of their own making. One of the New York Times rags has blamed Bush for the housing crisis. Now, you can blame him for not stopping the Democrats and eventually joining them, but blaming him is a lie beyond the pale. This should be a lesson to you all about the dishonesty of the liberal political machine.
American Thinker had this one covered weeks ago:
- Contrary to the Obama narrative, however, it is not free-market capitalism at the root of the current mortgage industry crisis, but rather the very socialism Obama hawks. The historical record makes this fact unmistakably clear.
Bloomberg has a bit on this as well:
- Bush even tried to avert the crisis early and often in his presidency, as he sought strict limits on the actions of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the mortgage-finance companies that were at ground zero of the crisis.
- Bush was unable to stop the housing crisis and its fallout, but he tried.
He did try, and this is what happened:
He should have tried harder, but then again, the Democrats should not have been so concerned about their “goals.”
Now that the liberals have met all their goals, isn’t everyone ecstatic?
