A young boy, six-years-old it is said, has died after being struck by debris at a monster truck show. This is an unfair and terrible event for any family and our hearts go out to this little boy.

The local news has taken the opportunity to put hysterical people on TV so that they upset everyone else about the evils of monster trucks. This technique, mastered by Al Jazeera and other carnographer news agencies, also gets people talking. So let’s talk.

The fact that a spectator loses their life during an event, does not overshadow the event itself. You can complain, you may even get some events shut down, but it is still wrong.

The idea that the family who has suffered should choke that down isn’t the point. Let them be hysterical if that’s what comes, they just lost a child. It is the other unrelated losers that are the problem. The thousands of other people should help out the family as best they can and that is that.

The local news is the worst offender, in fact, the only offender. Nobody wanted harm to come to that boy, but the local news wanted the most heart wrenching self serving drama queen to proclaim the shows operators heartless and the continuation abominable.

King 5 News, you are Hezbollah-lite. Someday you can actually show the brains of children on TV, and then you can rub your mike in the gray matter and pick up that crunchy-sponge squish when you step on it. It’s like wet popcorn. Hell you can even steal that line from here, don’t act like it’s above you to do so.

If this were an Arbor Day bike ride, and a kid died, no such spectacles would be taking place.

When you pray for this boy’s family tonight, pray also for the driver of that truck and people who put that event together. Do you think they wanted harm to come to that child? If you think that, or think that they don’t care, then you are simply a waste of flesh. Someone decent could use that skin, please drain yourself out of it today, and have the rest donated to a burn center.
