President Obama skipped out on the opportunity to see our Medal of Honor Heroes, the first Pres in half a century to do so.
- Given the amount of time and resources it would have taken to clear a 16 floor hotel as well as protect it while President Obama was inside, I can only guess that he was advised by his Presidential Protection Detail not to attend either inaugural ball because of the building and the inherent problems in securing and then protecting it. The sheer number of people crowding the streets and staying in the hotel surely presented a formidable screening problem as well. But, there’s your story… it’s not as sexy as “Barack Obama Hates The Military” but it is the truth as best I can tell after talking to the organization responsible for hosting the event and doing some research and educated guesswork about why a security team wouldn’t want to protect a principal in the Renaissance with more than 2 million extra people in Washington D.C.
It was too inconvenient for President Obama to see our MOH Heroes, because the Secret Service would have to clear a large building.
Evidently, clearing a hotel is harder than clearing a city falling apart:
- Citing the Bush Administration’s “unconscionable ineptitude” in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims. (I guess the f***in’ liberal mayor and liberal govenor were too busy)
So Bush was supposed to clear the mad max scence of Katrina, but Obama can’t even get into a hotel full of war heroes?
It’s not only very classy of O to hit Bush on the official whitehouse.gov page, but to send Biden to the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball in his place is an insult. Barack Obama trembles each time this loser VP speaks.
Watch Obama and tell me that he is not thinking: “Shut up you idiot” as he moves away from him.
Shut up and get to that Salute to Heroes thingy…
Sending Cheney meant you were getting the big guns.
Sending Biden means you are getting the leftovers.
First Week of Obama: Give the terrorists lawyers, skip out on the heroes. Mission Accomplished.
