Seeing that this film was written by Aaron Sorkin, writer of The West Wing a.k.a. The Left Wing, I dreaded going to see it.

However, there was an amazing amount of truth in this parody of “historical film making.”

(This movie is based on a true story. They tell you so at the beginning.)

The Facts in Charlie Wilson’s War;

• Showed how a right wing activist blonde lady is more effective at fighting wars than an entire Democrat congress.

.

• Demonstrates how an armed populace, not the Peace Corps, can defeat an oppressor very quickly.

.

• Points out that Democrat congresses can be cajoled into fighting for other peoples freedom, but really don’t give a crap to help build up any nation that doesn’t have a good special interest lobby attached to it.

.

• Exposes the behavior of many male Democrat politicians; drug use, alcohol abuse, partying with strippers, making Bill Clinton look like Mr. Rogers for the most part.

.

• Explains how bureaucratic policy wonks in intelligence and covert ops are indecisive and ruin everything, while a street-smart agent and former Navy SEAL actually know how to win.

• Makes it crystal clear that without the USA intervening all the time, Communists would attack and conquer the world.

I would like to thank Mr. Sorkin for including these very insightful truths while trying to diminish the role of Ronald Reagan in this latest Blame America First hit-piece.
