I give up. Allahpundit has to be gaming people just to get them to talk about Hot Air. After so many pitfalls, he almost came out in defense of Palin and I know it killed him.

Now, he links Bruce Bartlett’s turd from the Daily Beast about G.W.B.’s legacy. This is a laughable piece where Bartlett blames conservatives for our monster debt and then actually has this line in there:

• “…plus the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program, which George W. Bush rammed through Congress in September over strenuous conservative objections.”
• .

So he rammed a crazy spending bill through a DEMOCRAT Congress, while conservatives fought it, and it’s the conservatives fault?

Okay economics 101 time: Presidents do not affect economies as much as the Congress does. That’s a fact. The Prez can’t spend, if the Congress doesn’t approve it. (Unless they have 34 Czars)

The economy has real market cycles. Theoretically, economies should only grow, but intervention causes unintended consequences.

Bartlett’s comparing of job #’s between 90’s and 2000’s is a little misleading. See, Bill Clinton was blessed with the breakout of Bill Gates and the rise of the dotcom boom. George Bush was blessed with Clinton’s stupid foreign policy that exposed us to attack after attack that Clinton DID NOT ANSWER, culminating in 911. Now Clinton didn’t want 911 anymore than Bush wanted people to use their homes as ATMs, so let’s stop the bullshit.

Bush did support TARP and that was a huge mistake. Democrats loved TARP and continue the tradition to this day. This was somehow missing in Bartlett’s article. Maybe Bartlett is trying to sell liberals some books eh? Why compete against the top selling conservative authors when you can cash in on the frightened liberals running things? Which is funny that Michelle Malkin, who owns/runs Hot Air, is one of the top sellers and Allahpundit over here is pimping Bartlett the RINO.
