This story of this young woman Rifqa Bary is a window into the cultural quagmire political correctness has placed us in. This girl ran away from her Islamic home because she converted to Christianity and wanted a more liberal and western life. Her mother is forced by her father to wear a hijab and that kind of life was not for her.

Now one would think that the “liberal media” would be cheering this girl on for becoming independent and not being held down by the sexist rule of Islam. Well, the liberals who write our news can’t seem to commit. This kind of storyline was in every 80’s movie but now that the family involved is Muslim, the media is afraid.

However, in the Muslim world, the press there has no such inhibitions. You can see clearly the mindset in the devout Muslim publications. Compare this AP account to the Pakistan story. It’s hard to believe they are talking about the same thing. The Pakistan rag calls the girl pregnant and that has some sinister undertones in the Islamniac mindset. They are demeaning her as “without honor” when they say she is pregnant. They are devaluing her. So far, it seems the cops in Ohio haven’t caught on.

It is also hard to believe the cops that defend this girls father. Hopefully the magnanimous statements about the father’s open-mindedness and love for his daughter are a PR move on the part of police and that in reality, they are reading the Pakistan Daily and saying “We got a problem here. Somebody is leaving something out”

Let’s get real people. The father is so open-minded that Christians are cultists and his wife is made to wear one of those hijabs. Yeah we know, she chose to wear it.
