Hollywood bombs America again. Back on November 11, 2007 , there was a post named Hollywood Bombs America.
That post contained the fact that the anti-war, anti-American formula of Hollywood had failed. Lame excuses were heaped on to explain away the failure of these hyper-liberal movies.
Here we are again, with the latest in “Socialist Hate America First Theatre” also known as S.H.A.F.T. As in getting the SHAFT when you pay for a ticket.
This film failure is titled Stop-Loss. I will let “a studio source” explain its lack of success to you.
- “No one wants to see Iraq war movies. No matter what we put out there in terms of great cast or trailers, people were completely turned off. It’s a function of the marketplace not being ready to address this conflict in a dramatic way because the war itself is something that’s unresolved yet. It’s a shame because it’s a good movie that’s just ahead of its time.”
.
You see America, you are not sophisticated enough to understand good cinema. YOU are not ready for this film. At this point in time, this film is too good for you.
How about, this MTV Film’s message sucks. It heaps on the stresses of military life, totally dissuading anyone form joining, which will further stress the families real soldiers out there who may get called back.
How about this; Stop making anti-war movies until the war is over. Remember the lie-fest that was Platoon? It wasn’t made during the war. It was made when war protesters started becoming school teachers. That’s the formula you are looking for Hollywood!
