This is how ANWR should look, is it not beautiful?

There is much talk about oil  & ”oil speculators” these days and most of it is crap.

Let’s get some things straight, all you expert businessmen out there.

If you and I “speculate” on some oil contracts, when can we get the barrels of oil delivered to our homes? We can’t. Speculators do not buy real barrels of oil. 

Enron Loophole, London loophole, how about economic education blackhole? All of these stupid, stupid, “regulators” and business policemen did not catch Enron. An employee, an individual began the case against them. Government didn’t do squat. What makes it different this time? Are all speculators criminals?

These hedge funds that are made out to be the culprits, are making money right now, for their banks,  for oil companies and for you. Yes thats right, if you have a 401k, you are invested in oil companies or investments tied to them. Now when we begin “oversight” which means stopping speculation on oil, all of that retirement money is gone.

But we will pay less at the pump.

This is where we see the woeful condition of economic education is the US. 

China, India, most nations in Africa and host of other developing nations are not going to stop developing so you can have cheap oil. The world is developing at rate unseen in history. It is a time to celebrate, not be a hysteric. The fact that billions of people who walk, ride horses, bicycles and elephants will want a car in the next few years is lost on our economic experts like Barack Obama and John McCain.

After we kill all of the speculators and the price of gas goes through its normal fluctuations, what will leftists leaders do when the price returns to this level?

I hope we take this opportunity and reflect on stupid ideas that have put us here.

1. The Earth is not in danger. We do not affect the weather.

2. Oil is good. Drilling is better. Using oil in cars is best. Stop attacking oil. Drill everywhere and support oil companies drilling everywhere.

3. China does have a deal to drill in the gulf. Liberals have taken great delight in “debunking” the China-Cuba connection and calling it a myth. In typical Washington fashion, the liberals are WRONG, and the Rhino…I mean Republicans got scared, and backtracked.

3a. Liberals are wrong in calling it a Republican myth. Here are those staunch Republicans at Reuters;

March 22: Chinese oil drilling equipment has begun arriving in Cuba as state-run Cubapetroleo (Cupet) and its foreign partners prepare to significantly increase drilling along the northwest coast, industry sources said. “Four service units and a small rig have arrived and we are waiting for more,” said a Cuban oil service manager, asking his name not be used. There are currently five rigs operating along the northwest heavy oil belt, an 80-mile (128-km) stretch of coast in Havana and Matanzas provinces from whence come all of Cuba’s 70,000 to 80,000 barrels per day of heavy crude at 8 API to 18 API and with a high sulfur content. The poor-quality oil is burned in modified power plants and factories. Cuba imports a similar amount of oil and derivatives, with preferential financing from Venezuela. Canadian companies Sherritt International (S.TO) and Pebercan Inc. (PBC.TO), in conjunction with Cupet, account for 60 percent of the output, plus 2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. 3b. The fact that a drill bit cannot be photographed with Chinese flag on it and a whole rig full of Cubans giving us the finger, does not change what has happened or what is happening now.

The sad truth is that hyperbole has replaced real argument. The Chinese are all over is in oil exploration and we are still arguing with economic illiterates over said issue.
