When they attack Expelled, they were correct about quote mining and challenging The Discovery Institute. After reading their take on Expelled, I reconsidered a post recommending it to people and removed it. I had no idea Darwin was misquoted nor the extent of the politically driven shenanigans around the films production and even its premiere.
This recent post of theirs however, is trying the leftist method of tying Christians to Islamists with common issues. It is true that both groups generally cast a dim view of the fossil record and evolution in general, but the similarities end there.
Just as the comparison of Christians to Islamists is wrong, so is the obfuscation of the political climate of science today.
Look at Ricahrd Dawkins website and see all of the anti-Christian works. There is even an “out” campaign for atheists.
Pharyngula is even worse. You will never hear more talk about Christianity than you will on these sites. They talk more about Christianity than Billy Graham.
I was never a supporter of Intelligent Design as a “theory.” I couldn’t even explain it. However, the idea that people like Dawkins, who would subscribe to “panspermia” instead of admitting they don’t know something, is the ultimate load of crap.
He will make fun of someone for belief in God and that we are created at some point, but aliens committing bukkake on a rock makes perfect sense to him as an ”origin” theory. (Almost said creation there)
I will continue to support LGF and their fine example that many aspire to. I just wish that would turn their critical eye towards the ivory tower of political science instead of focusing on the nuthouse.
