Can you believe this video of Gore’s event on Michelle Malkin’s site? How can anyone take these green goons seriously?

How about this from PBS:

• To see these lots now and see all these unsold giants is to feel already as if you are wandering in a kind of automotive theme park, a museum almost, a snapshot of entitled times past that will not come again, not in the same way, anyway. The SUV is about to become a thing of the past, a swaggery relic of days gone by.

• Translation: Those stupid, hulking American trouser snake-challenged-vehicles! They deserve to die! Say goodbye to those macho, swaggery relics of America’s lost glory, your entitled days are over Americans.

We keep hearing about the magical promises of “alternative energy” and how it will wean us off of oil.

Wrong.

Nuclear energy is besieged by lawyers and eco-nuts. Electric cars are laughable in terms of safety, performance and forget about upwards of 250 million cars getting plugged in every evening. Solar energy is inefficient and wind energy just plain blows.

If all of the alternatives are so good, they should be up and running in no time. If T. Boon Pickens is so confident in wind farms, lets see him let the bucks go and build us a power grid. Why make taxpayers front these schemes?

It’s not that I don’t think all of these things should’nt be tried, I just don’t want to see the American people saddled with the cost of hippie fantasies.

If you lined the U.S. coast and Great Plains with windmills, covered the Rocky Mountains with solar panels and put hydroelectric generators in every little waterfall and trickling stream, you would not be able to power America for one night without oil. Then while we sit in the darkness, China, India and the rest of the world will be buzzing around in their gas powered vehicles and extending us sweet offers on barrels of oil from our own Gulf.
