The fact that he wanted to name his 2008 album “Nigger” was ignored by the MSM.
He changed the name at the last minute, unwilling to part with his Mercedes for some street cred.
With Whoopi, rappers, Jesse Jackson and video games throwing this word around, what happened to the idea that it was offensive?
Would the ancestors Nas be proud of those like him? To suffer the indignities of the past in a quest for seat at the table, only to see your great grandchildren spout off the same trash that hooded men once screamed at your house decades ago?

I too, have written vis-a-vie this nonsensical double standard of it’s “our word” we can use it, but you can’t.
I also read Ms. Malkin’s and of course, yours. I really like the touch about the ancestors; it’s very ala Bill Cosby. CHEERS!
