So, how did the west really get involved there? On August 4, 1914, the Ottoman Empire gave shelter to two German warships that were being pursued by the British. The Ottoman Empire was supposed to remain neutral, but the Germans offered them the two ships and the Empire could not resist.

Why is this important? Because the Ottoman Empire’s entry into WWI made it drag on for two more years, killing off millions of infidel westerners at bargain basement prices to them:

General Erich Ludendorff stated in his memoirs that he believed the entry of the Turks into the war allowed the outnumbered Central powers to fight on for two years longer than they would have been able on their own. The war was extended to the Middle East with main fronts of Gallipoli, the Sinai and Palestine, Mesopotamia, and in Caucasus. The course of the war in the Balkans was also influenced by the entry of the Ottoman Empire on the side of the Central Powers. Had the war ended in 1916, that would have meant that some of the bloodiest engagements, such as the Battle of the Somme, would have been avoided. The United States of America might not have been drawn from its policy of isolation to intervene in a foreign war.

The EU tanked as soon as we had some financial trouble and they went hat in hand to their old scapegoat Germany. Our President came down hard on Germany and now the beginning of the end is upon the EU. A humongous Nazi-like revival is also brewing. Our President is doing his best to make his efforts on terrorists look tough. The fact that we have had jihadist Army officials killing our troops and two soldiers shot outside of a recruiting office is to be ignored. Even though they have now followed us home, the administration wants to negotiate with the “moderate” Taliban.

We will discover “alternative energy” before we discover a moderate Talib. Perhaps one of the White House Press “Corpse” will ask GIbbs or the Bamster what the moderate Taliban looks like.

Some socialists in Greece want to sue the U.S. for their financial crisis. The Greek financial crisis has nothing to do with socialists burning things down and destroying the place.

Elections 2010 & 2012…

The President has done a decent job of demonizing executives and insurance companies, so it need to be pointed out that he runs the largest conglomerate and the largest health insurance company. His health insurance company (Medicaid/Medicare) denies people treatment more than any other insurance company.

When private industries do it, the President calls it greed. When the government does it, what will you call it?
